Blasercafé, a Swiss coffee maker that’s been family-owned since 1922, has launched a new look to match the quality of its coffee. The packaging combines the brand’s long history with a clean, modern style.
By removing aluminium and adhesive tabs from its bags, Blasercafé reduces waste and gives the packs a sleeker appearance.
When I asked Blasercafé why they chose the typeface Faro, they explained:
“The choice of the Faro typeface for our logo and corporate communication was a carefully considered decision. We sought a typeface that perfectly reflects our values and identity.
Faro beautifully combines the modern with the traditional. It exudes a playful lightness without losing its traditional character, allowing us to visually express both our roots and our forward-thinking approach.
With Faro, we have selected a typeface that is more than just a design element. It serves as a visual cornerstone, ensuring that we maintain a cohesive and distinctive appearance both internally and externally.”
The design cleverly honours the past by using classic stripes from the original 1960s packaging. At the same time, it gives the brand a playful and fresh look.
