The term ‘you’ refers to any user of our website or any purchaser of our typefaces, whether acting as a natural person or representing a legal entity.

‘Processing’ refers to any operation performed on personal data, regardless of the methods or procedures used. This includes the collection, storage, use, alteration, disclosure (e.g., granting access, transmission, or publication), archiving, or destruction of data.

IV. What We Collect

When browsing the website:
We collect the following non-personally identifying information via server log files:

• Requested URL (page visited)
• HTTP status code (e.g. 200, 404)
• Browser type and version (User-Agent)
• Operating system (via User-Agent string)
• Referring site (if available)
• Language preference (via browser settings)

When using our Shop:
If you select a font in our shop, we store this selection using cookies (see section VIII). This is done to enhance your user experience. These cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser.

Our payment partner Stripe sets two cookies in our shop to enable their secure payment system. These are also automatically deleted when you close your browser.

If you accept the cookie notice in our shop, we store this selection with a cookie. This cookie is deleted automatically after one month.

When purchasing:
When you purchase a font, we collect the following information:

• Full name of purchaser
• Purchaser’s address
• Purchaser’s email address (optional)
• Licence holder
• Licence holder’s address
• VAT number (optional)
• IP address

We use this information to fulfil orders placed through our website. When you purchase a font or obtain trial fonts, you agree to at least one of our licence agreements and enter into a contractual relationship with us. We retain the corresponding data for the duration of this relationship.

At the checkout page, we approximate your geolocation using Awesome Motive. Your checkout details and geolocation remain unlinked. This helps us pre-fill your country, postcode, and city.

Credit card information is processed solely and directly on Stripe’s servers. Luzi Type does not store any credit card details at any point.

When subscribing:
Additionally, we collect your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter.

V. What We Do Not Do

• We do not use any advertising or tracking services on our website, such as Meta Pixel or Google Analytics.
• We do not add customers to our newsletter without explicit subscription.

VI. What We Share

If you place an order in our shop, we provide the necessary data to Stripe, our payment processing partner, for the purpose of completing the transaction. Please see the Stripe privacy policy: www.stripe.com/privacy.

If you pay via bank transfer, your payment is processed through PostFinance Ltd, Switzerland. For more information, see their privacy policy: www.postfinance.ch/en/detail/privacy.html.

In line with our licence agreement, we can verify font usage and may involve a third party to confirm licence validity if necessary. This process is solely to ensure compliance with our terms. If it turns out your licence is valid, we may discuss essential details, limited to the licence type, purchase date, the email address used, and the licence holder. Access to this information is governed by a strict non-disclosure agreement for confidentiality and is restricted to specific verification requests, not general licence register access.

We are happy to provide access to all personal data we hold about you. You have the right to:

• Request correction of your personal data held by us (please note that the licence holder cannot be changed)
• Request deletion of your personal data, unless processing is necessary to exercise our rights to freedom of expression and information, comply with legal obligations, serve the public interest, or assert or defend legal claims
• Request restriction of the processing of your personal data
• Object to the processing of your data
• Receive information about the existence of any automated decision-making (not applicable at Luzi‑Type.ch)
• Withdraw your consent at any time – the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal remains unaffected
• Enforce your rights in court or lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority (in Switzerland: Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner – www.edoeb.admin.ch)

VIII. Cookies

We use cookies to store your selections during a session and to enable the secure payment system provided by our payment partner (see section IV).
