Valpo

The creation of the typeface Valpo explores the subtle differences between calligraphy, known for its flexibility and expressiveness, and typography, which requires consistent and uniform letterforms. The foundation of Valpo’s design comes from sketches made with an Edding 3300 marker.

Valpo occupies an interesting position; not strictly a Grotesk font, nor purely calligraphic. The typeface enchants with its warm and unique form language, infusing personality into every lead text or headline. Find more information about the design process of Valpo at our blog post.

The typeface is available as individual weights and as a variable font with a Thin → Bold axis. The family package includes two variable fonts: upright and italic. It comprises two subfamilies: Normal and Condensed.

Wie auf dem festen Land, so gibt es auch im Meer, Erhöhungen und Schluchten. Viele Berge unter dem Meer sind höher, manche Gebirgszüge sind länger, viele Schluchten tiefer als irgendwo auf dem Festen. Wenn man den höchsten Berg mit seinen 8847 Metern Höhe, in die tiefste Tiefe versenken wollte, so würden immer noch gut 2186 Meter Wassertiefe über seinem Gipfel liegen.
